Chlamydia trachomatis

Chlamydia trachomatis is one of three species of chlamydia. It can cause interstitial pneumonia, various genital diseases and conjunctivitis. The LGV strain is responsible for Lymphogranuloma venereum (LGV), which is primarily an infection of the lymph nodes near the site of infection.
